RiverEagle,
A "big" welcome to FAOL from Tennessee. You will enjoy your time here and I will look forward to reading your posts and will try to answer any questions you may have if I know the answers. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We were all beginners at one time and we all are still learning. You are going to love the fly rod. I use a fly rod for all species and tie all my own flies. A walleye on a fly rod is a lot of fun.
WELCOME RiverEagle

You're among friends here; there's a few from Iowa on the board. Wade on in, there's plenty of room.
Regards,

RiverEagle, welcome to FAOL from sunny SoCal. Good to have you on board. New guys bring donuts and keep the camp wood cut. Jim

Welcome from Idaho. Browse the menu on the left side of the home page for a wealth of information on all things flyfishing. Ask a specific question, and you'll get answers from everywhere. Sometimes, too many, and you'll have to sift the answers.

Welcome. You will never learn more from any other print source.

Wish I had that fly tying section of FAOL when I started out. there is nothing wrong with learning how to cast now if you have the equipment. OK so there might be a little snow...

Welcome to the forum nice to see a another fellow Hawkeye. This is the place I started out a few years ago when I decided to take up the sport and pack away the spinning/baitcaster gear. You'll find this a great place to learn and share.
