I hope this event isn't true. If this is a Hoax, I am amazed that someone would stoop that low.

From the other forum:
"This is flyfishingtyer,s wife. My husband passed away sunday night in an electrical accident. He was allways working on something to help someone. The last thing he was working on was a cd he was going to coppy and send out to people he spoke with in a chat room in here somewhere. This web address, password was written on the case of that cd. He would never take anything in return. He would say ( Just be my friend, help someone else who needs it and thats payment enough for me.) He had just got through teaching his son how to flyfish and a little about fly tying. I miss him allready.".
?
Unless someone is up close and personal with this one (personal validation), I would not go there. My radar is tingling on this one.
It's difficult to pounce on this one. My only clue to some apprehension is " I miss him already". If he passed away last Sunday night, why wait so long??
Mark
PS: I hope this was not a hoax not only because there will be no CD in my mailbox It would be sad to know there are folks who stoop so..........In any case..................
I'm with Joe on this one. That last phrase led me to the Kilgore, Texas Newspaper Obituaries which had no listing for a 40ish guy who died Sunday. I guess it's the nature of this beast (the internet) where I ask questions first and trust second...trying hard not to be cynical.

I guess this takes us back to a previous thread questioning the validity of sale items from posters with few posts to their name. Unless a veteran poster can vouch for them, I prefer to wait to see how active they become on the boards before considering to do business with them. Prudence and patience.

Not to be rude or presumptuous if anything really did happen, but some people will do ANYTHING for attention, no matter if it is negative or positive. They crave it. It is a mental disease in my opinion.
