my new favorite bass fly
Got back from college a little over a month ago and have been fishing everyday i've gotten the chance since. Wound up tying up a bunch of different bass flies to use and this one of my own creation has fast been turning out to be my most effective. takes a bit of time to tie but is super effective and has been nearly outfishing my senko's and other scented soft plastics i've been throwing on conventional gear

the materials:
from inside outwords-
copper wire for weight
white dubbing to hide copper wire (any type will work here i use old polyfiber stuffing from a pillow because its so cheap)
white synthetic feather duster material
frayed mylar tubing
grizzly saddle hackle
white saddle hackle
black ostrich on top
white or white/black rabbit strip on top
black/white mallard for cheeks
white marabou
black thread
super glue
eyes
epoxy

most materials can be substituted around as (marabou in place of feather duster etc.) however the rabbit strip and mallard a would reccomend keeping constant for movement and appearances sake.
Good luck and feel free to post pics anything you catch on it!

I LIKE it! What size/style hook are you using?

i normally go with any where from a 2- 2/0 widegapped hook. often times i've just been taking a standard 1/0 bait holder hook and widening the gap on it myself with a pair of pliers
