New trout angler on the otter

I havent ever pursued trout before so this will be a first for me. A was told about by a local TU member at the Jim strader show in Louisville. I will be fishin for bows in otter creek in northern Kentucky in spring probably march. Has anyone fished this creek or have any suggestions on trout fishing or what flies i should be tying?
