I like those spinners. What are the wings made from?
Gutbomb, wings are made of swiss straw
Wow - nice ties...what size is the trico? I've been thinking of tying a couple and I really like your pattern!!!
as usual,very nice ties!
Chris thanks for the comments, Jim, that one is size 20 actually is the same fly viewed from above and from underside, if you need recipe or anything just let me know.

Nice Ties CC!
I fish one very similar to the middle spider. I don't put a bead on it, and put the peacock herl in front of the hackle (as a head rather than a thorax). It's been a successful pattern for me as I'm sure it is for you! The other two also look like ones that would produce the goods on the day. How well do the spinner wings hold up after being taken?
- Jeff
ok, i have been trying to figure this out for a while
i think it's red monocord.
but what did you use for the body on the red spider?
nice ties...i think it's vinyl ribbing (red spider)
Jeff, it takes about 20 trout to rip off the wings on the trico, I have been using it lately with very good succes ratio :D
Fly and tie, the body is made with red ice thread
