Thanks for the link. No surprises really, I would question why the imports cost what they do. I know from talking to a distributor that they are dirt cheap to the branded company.
Did you watch the video with the waders with intergal inflatable pfd's? Very interesting, I remember probably 30 years ago Redball incorporating a manually inflated ring in their neoprene waders. I do guess the sanity of the two guys testing the waders, a mountain stream with air temperatures in the 30's?
I know that Dan Bailey's for example does some wader reapir locally in MT, so even though they may import a product at a relatively economical purchase cost, they still have to figure their service costs, done in the US, in their selling price. Plus, as I'm sure you know, US companies, like all companies, still have all the other costs associated with running a business.
Was this a comparison of the 10 best waders available in the USA? Is it their judgement that everything else is worse than than the Red Ball $50 waders?
