Hello - I am brand new to this forum. I am interested in a set of plans on how to build Jim Smith's dubbing twister. I do not have access to Fly Tyer Magazine Summer 2007 Issue. Any help would be appreciated.

I've made some improvements to the design so if you send me your Email address and I'll get them to you.

Hey Jim, would you share what the improvements are?

He uses rollerblade or skateboard bearings for the spinner arrangement. I have the plans on PDF if you email me, as I can't attach a PDF here.
This is another, more simple version, but I am sure it would work for the number of times you would use it.

Isn't Google a wonderful tool!
This is pathetic but it does show there is more than one way to skin a cat.

The one just above the drill is like Jim's latest modification with a little modification that for me was easier since I'm not the craftsman Jim is.
And Dennis if you do Jim's...or actually others here is a way to use power....much faster....

Ducksterman,
I had to chuckle when I saw all your different reditions of a dubbing twister. There are indeed many ways to skin a cat (just to use its fur for dubbing material of course) and since you have seven of them pictured, I figure it had only two lives left. Get posting. Thanks for sharing.
