On the mend
Hi Folks,
I had surgery on my right knee today to
restore mobility and reduce pain. For the
last month it's been bed, bath and kitchen
and much gritting of teeth.*G*
Following orthoscopic surgery, my doctor
told me that the damage was worse than
anticipated and took an hour longer than
expected to repair. However, he said it
was very successful and that I could
anticipate renewed agility, a significant
or complete reduction of pain, and a
full recovery within 6 weeks.*G*
I'm looking forward to some quality
time at the bench followed by a belated but
successful season with the feisty red eared
sunfish. Thanks for the calls and emails and
especially your effective prayers.*G* Warm
regards, Jim

I had my knee repaired last July with a similarly longer than planned surgery. The knee now does anything I have tried to do though I do limp a little when running yet. Keep the ice on it and keep it elevated a lot to reduce the pain. I definately hurt when I didn't. I did find that Bushmills whiskey tasted better than the vicodin the doctor prescribed.

Guess I'm behind on all the news also. Glad to hear everything is going well and you're on the mend, Jim. Best wishes and prayers for a fast recovery.
