Flies for Tom
I was requested to tie some flies for a guy I know back home from MI. He plans on using them to catch brook trout in the 17-20 inch range. I think I need to hold the flies until he takes me with him.
I would also like to thank JeffHamm for the help with the turkey quill wings on the Governor and Montreal. I was have a lot of trouble with them but with his advice they turn out alright. Not extremely pretty but I think they will work.

Hi Wingsdlc,
Those look great! Your wings have turned out really well. And that Parmachene Belle bucktail should work a treat. I also like the Silver doctor bucktail. Both of those are very good brook trout patterns. The Professor is another top notch pattern (I tied one up the other day for myself actually!). That whole set really looks spot on. If you were looking for another pattern, add in a Micki Finn; it's a must have brookie pattern if you are fishing streamers. Will compliment the P-Belle and Silver Doctor bucktails nicely.
And yes, if your friend knows where 17-20 inch brookies are the expected result, tell him you'll hand over the flies river side! :)

Jeff,
I was thinking of tying up a couple of large Micki Finns and my own buck tail creation on a size one for him. All the flies he requested were size 4.
Here is the bucktail I have been doing really well on down here in NC. I probably caught over a dozen fish today on it. There wasn't much left when I was done at the end of the day.
