Best Tweezers?
I have a set of tweezers that I like more than any others. I think they are made by Excelta. I made the mistake of telling my wife she could have them for her sewing & quilting. Long story short; I want them back. But, I can't find them anyhwhere. What are your favorite tweezers? I use mine (my wife's) for snatching hairs and trimming flies.
They also have an ergonomic handle.

Lotech, ironically Excelta tools are used alot in the high tech business. R.S. Hughes or Stanley from Normand's link have good selections.

The best tweezers I have seen were put out by A K Best. I saw Aaricks in West Yellowstone using a pair and I never believed a pair of tweezers could be so handy. I don't think they are made any more but the last time I was in Aaricks they still had them for sale for $1.00. I think the orginal prices was $13. Maybe they still have some and could mail you a pair.

tweezers
I know you asked for info regarding a specific tweezer but you might want to check out the various types that are the Dr. Slick brand. I use the ones that have the curved tips and often take them from my tying desk to my fishing pack. They are small and the tip is fine. Hope this provides an alternative for you just in case you are not able to locate the ones you want.

Checkout the Xacto tweezers. Years ago I bought three different styles: pointed, bent nose, and stamped point, Excellent quality and I don't think I paid more than $4 or $5 each. I have used then all in my tying. Great tool to have ready on the bench.

I wouldn't want to have just one pair of tweezers.
I'm always looking for 'new' ones. I find them in all kinds of places...and find I have a 'regular' use for about five pair currently. Bead tweezers, very fine point tweezers, both straight and bent point, strong straight tweezers, 'squeeze to open' tweezers....realistically, a lot of hackle 'pliers' are actually 'squeeze to open' tweezers...
I couldn't tell you a 'brand' on any of them. I found them all someplace, and bought them because I liked how they worked/felt and I could envision an application for them.
Craft shops, jewelry making supply places, tool shops, hobby shops, plus fairs and swap meets can be great places to find odd little tweezers and other cool tools that might come in useful....
THAT, is, of course, if you want to handle them before buying (for stuff like this, I really like to play with them first). With the internet, there are literally thousands of sources....
Good Luck!

My favourite pair are 'sqeeze to close' but also can lock in that position. I got them at the dentist's. I have asked the dentist twice to look at the the tools he is about to throw out/recycle and have collected (and given to the fishing club) tweezers, pickers, slicers (generic term for several kinds), and pokers. Of course they were all stainless steel and free.
