Fairplay sinking line question...

I bought a Cortland Fairplay Sinking Rocket WF5S line yesterday and thought I'd give it a try. The vendor didn't know about sink rate and the ( manufacturer's) packaging doesn't give any line type or sink rate info. Does anyone here have any idea about the sink rate for this line? I'm not able to get it wet today, or I'd already know how fast it will sink. I do know that it casts very well on the lawn. I couldn't tell much difference in the load on my rod between it and the floating line, so it isn't what I consider a heavy line.

I've already searched the FAOL archives and looked for info online - I didn't find any.

If nobody has any info on it, then I'll post my experience with it after I can get it out on the water. This will be the first sinking line I've ever used, so I'll have no comparison to go by.

Just so you understand in your evaluation...

Fly lines designated the same line wt....say a 5wt floating and a 5wt sinking will [within the specs] weigh the same the first 30 ft...the faster the sink rate the thinner the line becomes ....

This is speaking generally since fly line companies are continually putting out "specialty" line that take liberties with the specs....

The 333 lines just labeled as 'sinking' are a type 3 (3.5 to 4' per sec)
I would guess the Fairplays are type 3 also
I have a Fairplay wf5s myself, no problems although I've only used it a few times
