Here is the rest of the message. The board told me to cut off 300 characters from my message so here is the finish of it:

Again I only have a seven weight as my largest gear and have never fished over a salmon that I know of but even getting skunked or better yet, watching you tie into one would be worth it. It is called fishing after all. Our St. Joe River has summer, fall, and winter runs of salmon but it is catch as catch can( a lot of gearheads throwing heavy metal at them is also de rigueur).
Greetings to your family--great pics of you that Sunday on Comins Flats.
    Later
    Peace

Welcome back. Ron Tidd made a montage of all the pics from the bulletin board. Somebody (Kaboom, rainbowchaser, scubatim ?) sent a pic from our micro MIFI gathering on the Rogue and we made the front page(along with about 75 other people) last week--celebrating FAOL's 12th anniversary.
Your wife is a queen and I am jealous(although not of Mrs. Flamming because I have my own queen who is reading this over my shoulder as I type LOL). I must hear of more of the Catskill rendezvous. The mighty Mo is a two hour trip for me; I have never fished it being in so much of a hurry to get to the P.M.,Big and Little Manistee, Au Sable et. al.
Pick a Saturday or I could do Friday, October 23 which doesn't sound so bad right now. Let me know.
    Peace
    Mark

    Hey Mark,

Sorry, haven't been on the board for a while and was out of town for the past week (went to the Castskill Rodmakers Gathering, much to say about that ). Fish-in huh? Hmmm.... Wanna chase salmon on the Muskegon? I do need to get out this fall and chase some bruisers, have missed them the past two years, but we don't have to go after the big boys. I'm open to suggestions. Dates are always tricky, but we can see what we can do. What tickles your fancy?

Was there a picture of me on the front page? Again, I have been missing in action the past week or two.

    Jim

Yes Mark, I actually have two containers of starter in the fridge as we speak (both 1qt jars), in anticipation of baking some sourdough bread next week. I have kept this culture alive for over a year now, and started it using pineapple juice and all purpose flour. It's a very hearty culture that rebounds well even after being neglected for up to 45 days. One cup of flour and some warm water and it's right back.

For the method I used, go to http://www.breadtopia.com/make-your-...dough-starter/ The website tells you how to manage it as well. It's really easy to do, and rewarding once it gets going. If you like, I could send you some of mine and you can make a batch from that, so just drop me your addy and I'll mail it to you.

Sorry Mark. Just read your message. GO Big Red for sure. I have to brave the Buffalo fans here in Colorado. Although, I have won alot of money from CU fans the last 20 years. Thanks for the welcome.
