  1. Jason;
    Lets meet at my house around 8 am. Take 41A from Shelbyville to Tullahoma. Turn right at the 3rd. traffic light (Cedar Lane). Go straight through at the next traffic light (Wilson) and straight through the light at Lincoln. Cedar lane now becomes Westside Drive and you are about 3 miles from Gourdneck Rd NW. Gourdneck ends at Westside Drive so turn right and I am the 3rd house on the right (light gray with red shutters).
    My furling board is set up right now as I'm makeing a couple dozen out of a new thread to take to Idaho. When Warren or I show someone how to make them we like to take some time to make sure they can do it right. We can do that after we fish. I'll pick up a Degorno Pizza and while it's in the oven we can make some leaders.
    The water in the Elk is in the low 50's so waders are advised.
    My home phone is 931 461 7302 and my Cell is 931 235 9535. Give me a call later this week and we'll go over the plan again.

    Where ever you guys want to go is fine with me, you guys know the lay out, I just can't wait till Friday! I have to work Thursday I'm not sure about Jesse's schedule, so I am planning on leaving early Friday morning say5:30 to 6 range. That should put us down there around 8 I think. If you guys don't care, I'd love to learn to make a furled leader, but if that is going to take a long time I'll just wait till my next trip down. I don't want to take much time away from Jesse's getting to fish. I hope he catches a truck load.
    I'll try to get in touch with Jesse tomorrow and see how his schedule is.
  3. Jason;
    If we fish the Elk River take exit 81 off I24 at Murfreesboro (231) to Shelbyville. If we meet at my house take 41A to Tullahoma. If we meet in Lynchburg take 82 to 55 to Lynchburg. It's a bit longer drive but much better fishing and more open for casting.
    We'll Get it worked out this week.

    I can't wait til next Friday! However, I have lost my directions to get there. I think I can still manage it ok, but which exit # do I use? My cousin's boy Jesse is really excited about going fly fishing. He has tied flies in the past, but if I understood him right, he has never went fly fishing. Anyway, can't wait to see you.

  5. Jason;
    That would be ok. We can meet at Normady Dam just as before.

    Bad news about Saturday. I can't get off work We have several out on vacation this week and one of the men I work with sister passed away. She lived in New York and I am sure he won't be back by Saturday.

    I have some good news though. My cousin's little boy, which is like a nephew to me, is wanting to take up fly fishing. hehe, I keep calling him a little boy, he's starting college this fall. Man that don't seem possible. Anyway, I invited him to come fishing. With his work schedule and mine, we are going to try to go fishing on August 7th. If you are willing to put up with 2 rookies I'd love to carry Jesse down there and let him meet you. Anyway, just let me know.

    Sorry about Saturday, I was really looking forward to it,

    How are you doing? I haven't been online much lately and haven't heard from you in a while. I am going to try to take off next Saturday the 25. I'm planning on going fishing and was wondering if you were going to be around? I thought I might make a day trip to the Duck and get your 3 wt rod back where it belongs. Anyway, if you are going to be around Saturday and want to go fishing just let me know.
    Take care,

    How you doing? I haven't heard from you in a while. We have been working non stop, well, when it has been dry enough to work anyway. Seen the Duck on TV the other day, hope you and Warren live on top of a big hill. I couldn't beleive that was the same river we fished, it sure was flooded big. Knee is much better, suppose to get a brace with a cover next week. The cover is suppose to be thick enough to keep the brace from punching a hole in my waders.
    Take care, and I hope to see you soon,

    Hi Jack Butterfly and I survived the winter though we are both a little heavier . We're working on that. I almost called you to see if you had an open bed when I was laid off for a week at the end of April but just couldn't make the numbers work without breaking into savings which I can't afford to do while only working four days a week. I figured I'd have to pust the Explorer friom about the Indianna line to Nunica when the gas money ran out. I'm going to be at the fish-in if things don't get any worse. I'll probably be looking for someone who wants to share a campsite soon.
