Notice from the NWSI Derelict Fishing Gear Program.

To date they have removed 972 nets & 1636 crab pots from our saltwaters in the greater Puget Sound/Straits area, restoring 211 acres of marine habitat. They estimate that there are 4,000 nets and 14,000 crab pots that are still out there to be recovered.
