  1. Thanks for the note. Actually, I think it is more due to the salt air. The vise jaws in the pictures are not my tying vise. Those belong to a new vise I was trying. It is much more affected with oxidation/rust. I don't think the metallurgy is good on that vise.

    I enjoy your submissions/photos. I just noticed something in your Whitlock RFSN photo that made me laugh. My wife and I lived in Saipan (Northern Mariana Islands) from 2002-2010 before we returned to Montana last year. I did not take my fly tying stuff and I missed it during those 8 years. But.......my vice is now one of the few metallic items I own that is not oxidized. It looks like the jaws of your vice are are showing the effects of the humidity!
