Conversation Between Midwest Custom Fly Rods and lastchance

Hi Steve: After I apply the rod finish while the rod is turning in the dryer, should I stop the dryer, go back and drop some finish with a tooth pick underneath the guidefeet? I'm building a fly rod using doublefoot snake guides.
