and what better to do than GO FISHING.

It's been a while and I had planned today for fishing after semester finals. It's been raining and snow for that last several days. Temps warm up to high 40's, low to mid 50's, I know it's not what the rest of you experience but this is socal.

The rain is welcomed and the snow is down to about 2000 feet. Our little streams need this moisture and the snow pack will definitely help with the drought of 2007.

I hesitantly drove to the spot. The rain had subsided for a while and it was now or never.
I really didn't want to go in a downpour but a light drizzle/sprinkles and I thought I'll go down and at least check it out the water.

I tied on a petey tail nymph and was rewarded almost instantly with

Well the rains could come down now and it would have been a perfect day. I continued to fish for several hours. A couple of tree, fly stealers took my bugs. I used petey tail, prince and HE nymphs.

The larger guys seemed to elude me today here is the largest of the day

All in all a great day. It's suppose to rain through Wednesday....all I can say is BRING IT ON....we should have a great spring
