"WANTED"

Rate this Entry
After writing "Catch and Release" and "Sexy Fly Fishing", I realized I probably should spend more time fishing and less trying to be fly fishing's answer to Dr. Phil. But if I was interested in pursuing a relationship, this is the possible advertisement:

"WANTED:Woman who will put up with a 'trout bum". Should be able to cast well; especially good to have reliable roll-cast as I fish in heavily covered water at times. If has own fly tackle and waders would be ideal. Better yet if she has a drift boat and lives in Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Utah, British Columbia, Alberta, or anywhere else that is close to incredible trout streams. Don't care if she "outfishes" me -- in fact likely will. Must love fly fishing (especially for trout) as much -- or more -- than she does me. Definite bonus if able to tie killer flies. Probably should have good paying job as not much "financial reward" being a "trout bum". However I do appreciate the rise of a trout to my fly ..... certainly as much as I do great mountain vistas or amazing sunsets over the water I'm fishing on or the colour of the trees in fall .... as least as much as some do cuddling by the fireplace, romantic candlelit dinners, walks on the beach (all of which I'm not adverse to as long as doesn't cut into fly fishing). Am also very dedicated to "catch and release" so if things don't work out she can always "put me back". Please forward pictures of latest trout caught -- if larger than my best fish not a problem. Tight lines, wanting to get together soon out on the water." __________________

"No matter how complicated life can get -- remember life is sometimes like fly fishing; after turning over every rock in the river trying to "match the hatch", you have probably spooked every fish for miles -- so don't let the "little things" BUG you -- just enjoy whatever you find."
