Well, I haven't been fly fishing in a while(a couple weeks) and the Other day I went fishing at the local lake with my spinning rod(GASP!!) because they stocked some trout and there was simply no room to cast a fly rod without hooking people.

So I did the next best thing, Ultralight rod, 2lb test, Jigs and some jigs that I tied. And caught a few fish. Close enough.

Anyways, The next day after the plant I went in with the fly rod because there wasn't that many people there, I busted out the 8'6" 3wt and did some fishing. I got a few nibbles here and there, on a Flashback Hares ear Nymph. But no Hook ups.

They were shooting around the surface like a bunch of dorks making themselves perfect candidates for a cormorant. And the cormorant's did take notice and flew over and ate a few of 'em, before they wised up.

Good day, Cold and windy, and no fish. But it was nice to be out.
