Introducing a Radical New Fly Line Technology
with Precision PE+ Crystal Saltwater Lines

Cortland Line has been a leader in fly line technology and development since introducing the first synthetic fly line in 1953. Since then, they have lead the way in technoloby. From the 444 and 444SL Classic coatings, super-high floating Dyna-Tips and the ultra-hard surface Tropic Plus lines. Cortland scientists have again developed another technology in performace fly lines.
Precision PE+ Crystal line

The all-new Precision PE+Crystal is formulated with a proprietary blend of polyethylene and special copolomers. Built on a nylon monofilament core, the PE+ Crystal's patent-pending crystal-clear jacket is naturally lighter than water, eliminating the need for micro-balloons or other agents to make it float.

The hard, ultra-smooth PE+ line jacket finish has a lower coefficient of friction than any production floating line ever built, so it shoots silently through the guides and casts farther than equuivalent PVC-coated floating lines.

The Precision Tropic Plus Ghosttip is the combination of the world's best warm-water saltwater line with a 9 foot intermediate tip for sneaking up on the line-shy fish like permit, bonefish and tarpon. The intermediate delivers the fly to the fishes' feeding zone without spooking them, while the floating body allows for fast line pickup. Constructed on a mono core with coatings that can withstand blazing heat.

From small streams and spring creeks to tail waters and Western rivers, the Precision Platinum was designed from tip to taper to cover the full range of trout fishing conditions and challenges. A longer head, extended rear taper and larger diameter running line give you maximum line control, both in the wair and on the water. Built with a low memory jacket that stays supple in cold water but doesn't wilt in summer heat. Plus, the 3-foot, high floating Dyna-Tip (with a welded loop) floats higher and lands more softly for the ultimate in drag free drifts. Cortland "Precision Platinum" the best casting, best floating, best fishing, all-round trout line ever.

Cortlands "Sterlling" Mid-Arbor reel may just be the best value in a fly reel today. And it may be just the reel for you. This feature packed beauty starts as a solid billet of 6061T6 aluminum. It's then machined to exacting tolerances and hard anodized for lifetime durability in fresh or salt water. Exposed rim for palming, knurled drag knob with maximum line capacity.

Here is a terrific idea. Cortland's Pre-loaded "Travel" Outfits. Everything you need to fish, rod, reel, rod and reel carrier, fly line, leader, Fly-Line Backing and a Knot tying tool. These are designed for serious fishing. A 9' 8/9 weight 4 piece for Bonefish/Redfish/Snook. And an EastCoast/Bluefish/Striper rod in a 9' 9/10 weight.

Two more new rods for your consideration. Shown above are Cortland's 10' Brook Fly rods. Both are true long, light-line fly rods. They excel at fishing Soft Hackle and Spider type wet flies. These rods are available as both a 4 and 5 weight and will do anything. The added reach of these rods lets you control a drift like never before. The perfect long rods for Spring Creeks, Tail Waters, and wherever else you need delicacy and reach.
